I still can't decide if I love it or hate it, though. I think this was an attempt by CA to prevent steamrolling, but the early game feels just a tad over-tuned. If you lose one or both in a battle, you may as well restart the campaign because it's over. Two full stacks basically bankrupts my economy but I can't afford to have any less on the map.

In fact, I'm having to play most battles against heavy odds just trying to keep it together. I appreciate that I can't auto resolve win first battle/settlement turn one like WH2. I guess I'm supposed to distill that Rome's foundation was practically a miracle by how many enemies surrounded them. It's frustrating and amazing at the same time. Think we missed one?
